Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region is thrilled to welcome Kristin Kelley to the CISDR Executive Management Team as ChiefAdvancement Officer. Kristin joins the organization at a time of extremely high need for the services provided by CISDR site coordinators, largely driven by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Within the past two years, the organization has doubled in the number of schools served across the Dallas region. Accompanying this growth is the need for increased funding, which is where the experience and skill of Ms. Kelley will be extremely valuable.
Kristin comes to CISDR with over 12 years of experience in the Dallas fundraising space. She has worked at both education and human services organizations, and brings with her a great deal of experience in strategic planning, foundation relations, special events, major gifts, and more. Before joining CISDR, she served for almost 5 years at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, leading their strategic fundraising efforts.
Kristin’s greatest strength is in creating collaborative partnerships with donors, businesses, other nonprofits, and groups looking to make investments in their local community. Already, Kristin has made an impact on the upcoming 10th annual CISDR golf tournament, back-to-school supply drive, and 4S campaign, just to name a few. Further adding to her accomplishments, Kristin secured a $5,000 matching donation for the upcoming North Texas Giving Day on September 23rd, helping to ensure CISDR reaches the goal of raising $10,000. She is in the process of building her team, bringing together communications, marketing, and development under one umbrella.
“I am honored to serve as Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region’s new Chief Advancement Officer. The work of this organization is critical for thousands of children and families each year and to be a small part of its mission is humbling,” says Kristin Kelley, new Chief Advancement Officer of CISDR. “I am excited to connect with those who make our work possible, as well as continue to grow resources for increased services annually.”
“As we hit the ground running this school year with record growth and great need for expansion across the region, we are overjoyed to have Kristin join our team,” says Adam Powell, President and CEO of CISDR. “Kristin’s enthusiasm, expertise and commitment to creating collaborative partnerships makes her just the person we need to help us sustain and continue growing.”
